Digital twin of the HVAC system on the F-110 frigate with Dragsa
Company
Navantia, a leading public company in the naval and defense sector, with highly innovative technological ship projects such as the F110 frigate, where digitization and advanced monitoring are key to operational efficiency and safety.
Challenge
Create a digital twin of an HVAC system belonging to a replica of an F110 frigate, capable of monitoring metrics in real time, simulating system behavior, and generating alerts in the event of abnormal conditions, all integrated into a single digitization platform.
Problem
- Lack of real-time digital representation of the HVAC system.
- Need to monitor critical metrics such as temperatures, statuses, and communications.
- Absence of a simulation environment for testing and demonstrations.
- Lack of alarm and warning systems for out-of-range thermal conditions.
Solution
How we do it?
Thanks to its experience digitizing the Navy's F-110 frigates, Surcontrol designed and implemented an additional digital twin connected to the replica's HVAC system using the Dragsa platform.
Dragsa was used to integrate the system data, enabling real-time representation of the digital twin.
The solution incorporated data simulation modules for demonstration environments, communication status control, custom alarm definition, and automatic warning generation in the event of high temperatures. The entire system was managed from a visual and intuitive interface within Dragsa.
Results
- Functional digital twin of the HVAC system on the F-110 frigate.
- Real-time monitoring of system metrics and statuses.
- Data simulation for testing, training, and demonstrations.
- Alarm and warning system for critical temperatures.
- Greater visibility, control, and analysis capabilities for HVAC assets.
