The company operates a system of automated robots responsible for internal logistics and inventory control.

Its platform had a powerful data management system, but lacked proper tools to visualize, analyze, or consult the information. This limited both their internal team and their clients, who could not clearly access inventory status or understand robot movements, consumption, and operations.

The objective was clear: transform an inaccessible data repository into a visual, queryable system directly connected to automated logistics operations.

Challenge

Develop a fully integrated solution within their platform that would:

  • Visualize and analyze inventory data from relational databases (PostgreSQL and SQL Server).
  • Integrate our module with their user management and permission system.
  • Unify technical alarms and events within their notification system.
  • Design custom dashboards and statistical widgets tailored to their robots and logistics operations.

All without modifying their existing architecture and fully respecting their automated operational environment.

Problem

  • Limited visibility for clients and operators: The inventory manager stored data but did not allow clear or operational access.
  • Inability to leverage external data sources: Their team could not correlate or analyze PostgreSQL or SQL Server data from within their own platform.
  • Disconnection between alarms and events: Robot-generated notifications were not integrated into the main event management system.
  • Operational analysis limitations: Without dashboards or specific metrics, they could not properly evaluate performance, incidents, capacity, or logistics patterns.
  • Manual and time-consuming processes: Much of the work required manual validation by reviewing databases or consulting multiple departments.

Solution

How we do it?

We developed a fully integrated module within their platform to digitalize and make accessible all information related to their automated inventory system and the robots managing it.

  • Direct integration with their user management system: We reused their existing roles and authentication structure to ensure consistency and security, without adding new access layers.
  • Query engine for external relational data: We built a component capable of reading, correlating, and analyzing PostgreSQL and SQL Server data, enabling visualization of previously inaccessible information.
  • Alarm integration with their event management system: All alarms generated by robots and operational systems are now centralized within their main event management tool.
  • Custom dashboards and statistical widgets: We designed operation-specific dashboards
  • Full digitalization of the inventory workflow: All information is now structured, organized, and available for real-time monitoring and historical analysis.
